Bharanidharan (Bharani) Hemachandran

Bharanidharan is a MSc student in his second year of study at the University of Calgary. He began in September 2009 taking courses in both the Geography and Geomatics departments. Bharanidharan is one of the developer of HEAT project under the supervision of Dr Geoffrey Hay. His work involves developing web based solutions for evaluating residential home heating and cooling efficiency from high resolution airborne thermal imagery.

Bharanidharan was awarded the  ISEEE graduate scholarship with an opportunity to continue on to PhD studies in May 2011. Bharanidharan was also awarded the Alberta Innovates Graduate Student Scholarship in May 2011.
