Sulakshmi Das

I graduated from Fairmont State University with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems. In 2009, I moved to Calgary to to be a part of the MGIS Program and to be closer to the oil and gas industry. 

I have completed all the required eight courses in the MGIS program and I am currently working on the research project classes(GEOG 681 and 683). I am trying to map impervious surfaces in Brentwood Community using thermal imagery and vegetative indices. I plan to finish everything by December 15, 2011.

My other interests are: learning about remote sensing applications, spatial statistics, new GIS methodologies, project management in GIS and use of GIS applications in the oil and gas industry (especially in Calgary, AB)
